A handout photograph released by Greenpeace on 30 April 2010 shows a clean up boat laying out oil booms along Port East in the Gulf of Mexico south of Louisiana where oil leaking from the Deepwater Horizon wellhead continues to spread on 29 April 2010. A BP leased oil platform exploded April 20 and sank after burning. Eleven workers are missing, presumed dead. A scientist from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration had concluded that oil is leaking at the rate of 5,000 barrels a day, not 1,000 as had been estimated. Pelicans and other shore birds nest on Breton Island, Louisiana, USA, 30 April 2010. A double boom has been placed protectively around much of the island. In the background is an idle Jack-up barge, used to work unmanned oil wells. Staging areas are being set up along the Gulf Coast to actively identify, target and protect environmentally and economically sensitive areas as the Deepwater Horizon spill continues to spread. The mobile offshore drilling platform located in the Gulf of Mexico 52 miles southeast of Venice, Louisiana, was engulfed in flames after an explosion 20 April 2010 that left 11 workers missing and presumed dead. DELACROIX, LA - MAY 01: Mike Labat prepares to release a crab back into the water after pulling the trap because of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico on May 1, 2010 in Delacroix, Louisiana. As oil-polluted waters approach the Louisiana coast, fishermen don't want to take chances selling possibly contaminated crabs so they are pulling their traps and dumping their catches. Oil is still leaking out of the Deepwater Horizon wellhead at a estimated rate of 1,000-5,000 barrels a day. Joe Raedle/Getty Images/AFP== FOR NEWSPAPERS, INTERNET, TELCOS & TELEVISION USE ONLY ==
