One man drowned late Sunday in a river in Koszarow, local media reported. The man had jumped into the river to save his son, whom he managed to drag ashore, but was himself then carried away by a strong current. One man died after a soaked sand wall fell on his house because of heavy storms causing flooding in the northeastern city of Miskolc. The middle-aged man died after a soaked sand wall fell on his house. The city of Miskolc and its region were hardest hit by the storms where several streets are still under water after two local rivers started flooding.
