Im Rahmen der Berlinale wird der Stummfilmklassiker
Im Rahmen der Berlinale wird der Stummfilmklassiker "Metropolis" erstmals seit 83 Jahren am Freitag (12.02.2010) vor dem Brandenburger Tor in Berlin wieder in einer fast kompletten Fassung auf einer Leinwand gezeigt. Nach dem überraschenden Fund einer Originalversion des Meisterwerks von Fritz Lang in Argentinien vor zwei Jahren konnte der Film in mühevoller Kleinarbeit restauriert werden. Die Uraufführung ist mit einem großen Dreiklang am Brandenburger Tor, im Berliner Friedrichstadtpalast und in der Alten Oper in Frankfurt zusehen. Bei der Weltpremiere im Friedrichstadtpalast soll die Musik zu dem Stummfilm live vom Berliner Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester eingespielt werden.
